Rat presses a hand against Grey's chest, hand traveling down to join his. He's seen Grey undone once already. He wants to see it again.

Jaw working, Grey can give into the pleasure in this moment, trusting Rat to keep him from entirely splintering apart. Yes ...! Breath hisses between clenched teeth.

For a moment, Rat forgets to move, entranced by the look on Grey's face. He only remembers to keep touching him, pumping him through. His own breathing is ragged, watching him intensely.

It's a coming apart and back together and Grey's eyelids are heavy as he looks up at Rat. Come too, his fingers seem to say, dancing down the other boy's back. Then they can be linked, be together, after having shared this.

Rat doesn't know the last time someone looked at him so openly, without disguise or an ulterior motive. The moment they share now...Rat doesn't need much more. His legs are shaking and he looks at Grey. Inside?

A nod: inside. It's easier to keep clean that way, in Grey's experience. And he digs his fingers into Rat's lower back. Now.

Grey's quiet, insistent communication sends a jolt across his skin all on its own and Rat nods. It doesn't take him much more to unravel, looking Grey in the eye as he does.

Grey utters the most quiet whine as he feels it, as he feel their connection just before it got too painful. Rat had been right, too, about the small packets making it smoother. He pets over Rat's back, along the knobs of his spine, the burns, touching, grounding, being.

For a moment, Rat is still. Shakily, he props up on his elbows and looks at Grey, asking wordlessly if he's all right, if it was good.

He does push at Rat's shoulders, only because it is starting to hurt a little, but even as Rat moves, he moves, too, lying on his side, arm looping around Rat's waist. Kisses now, gentler, the sharp need sated. Kisses.

Rat is careful, arranging himself next to Grey and tracing fingertips lightly down his side. All he wants is to indulge in these kisses, to forget that there is a world beyond this grove. Right now, there's no need to be.

There might be the sound of a stomach growling a few minutes later, followed by Grey's rueful smile. He's always hungry, but in this moment he seems to be starving and they are out of popcorn.

Rat laughs, honest to God laughs. Their world has boiled down to their simplest needs, nothing more weighty than food and human contact. It's simple, wonderful even.

It is. And it can be solved. IT isn't like the train in that way. Grey has found that people here throw away a lot of perfectly good food, food that tastes better than anything he would have had on the train. Another kiss and Grey rises to his feet to pad to the water and rinse himself clean.

He follows Grey into the water, touching his back and shoulders, physically affectionate in a way he hasn't been with many others. There's no hurry now. No urgency but what they decide.

Grey might splash Rat with water before sprinting back to his clothes with a silent laugh, eyes bright.

"Hey!" He puts on an angry voice but it fades quickly as he hurries from the water, chasing him again.

Snagging his clothes, Grey runs; his laughter would be trailing behind if it were audible. But even as he runs, he pulls his jacket on. He can't quite manage his pants, though.

Rat grabs his clothes, scooping them up into his arms and chasing after Grey. He's laughing, hurrying along the grass, unsure if he wants to hurry him to food or to just pounce him to the ground.

Eventually Grey has to slow to try to step into his pants and it's due to his agility that he doesn't fall, tying the belt around his waist, knife sheath empty for the moment, but least his pants won't fall down.

He circles a tree and faces Rat, grinning.

He's not quite as fast as Grey, but he's similarly agile as he hurries into his pants. Rat takes on a ready stance, even as he pulls his shirt on, ready for Grey's next move.

Just as he's about to make any move, they can hear someone jogging just a bit away from where they are, along a path that runs close to the pond, but not next to it.

He goes still by habit, his finger to his lips as he looks at Rat. Shhhhhhh.

Rat goes similarly tense, his knife practically leaping into his fingers. His first assumption, always, is that others are enemies at best and he'll need to defend himself.

They are only joggers, though, talking about babysitters. SO foreign as to almost be a different language. Grey keeps his eyes on Rat, shaking his head. No knives, no violence. Just let them pass by.

[plaguedrat]

People who live in ease and safety, likely complacent about the things they are given. They have no idea what it is to struggle, he thinks.

There's no gain in attacking them, but he still regards them with contempt and suspicion.
