The piece of paper - the waiver - fluttered from Grey's hand as he pushed his way into Rat's rooms. He looks for the other boy, finds him and comes over. His clothes are dirty, pieces of gravel still sticking to them, something still in his hair. His hands are dirty, but his cheeks are flushed and he kneels before where Rat reads, pressing his cheek to Rat's hand.

"Where have you been?" Rat asks, laying his book aside so he can slip down off the couch and kiss Grey hello. "You look like you rolled in the dirt."

Holding out the piece of paper, Grey touches Rat's face. He missed him - he missed him.

[plaguedrat]

"A gym, huh?" Rat skims the descriptions, sees the places that Grey left blank that need filling out, nodding.

That can wait for later, after he kisses Grey.

[silenttrainbaby]

And after Grey kisses him back, holding his face gently before resting their foreheads together. There. That feels more right.

[plaguedrat]

Rat smooths his fingers through Grey's hair and leans back, laughing a little.

"Do you want to go back to that gym, then?" he plucks at Grey's ruined pants. "Maybe with some gym clothes?"

He does, yes. Grey wants to go back and climb and fly and jump. But the form ...

He points to it. Things like age and birthdate. He doesn't know those things.

[plaguedrat]

Rat looks at it, thoughtfully. "Well that train you were on went for eighteen years, right?" he says, remembering things he's heard for Curtis and Yona. "Assuming you were on that train when you were little, you're probably at least that old, right?"

[silenttrainbaby]

Slowly, Grey nods. What he doesn't know if he was born on the train. He doesn't remember very much of being little, fits and snatches.

"You should check on your packet," Rat says. "Your paperwork might say. Would Curtis know?"

[silenttrainbaby]

Grey doesn't know. He shrugs to both questions. If Grey doesn't know, how would this place know? The idea is a little overwhelming. He doesn't like it.

[plaguedrat]

"This place gave me an ID with an accurate birth year for me to turn eighteen last month," Rat says, fishing it out of his pocket. "1996, see?"

Taking the little card, Grey peered at it, at the little picture and back at Rat.

If he has one of these it's in his things in Curtis's rooms. He hasn't looked at anything he was given. He should look at those things.

[plaguedrat]

"The packet had my keys to this apartment, my starting money..." It had been damned creepy to be honest, but it was what they needed to get by in this place.

[silenttrainbaby]

Grey has keys to an apartment? He figured he lived with Curtis. He rocks back on his haunches, blinking a little.

So much he doesn't understand or know.

[plaguedrat]

"You can probably check with him when you get back," Rat says again, shrugging. "Besides. If you don't know, just make it up."

[silenttrainbaby]

Making things up - not a concept that Grey is familiar with. It simply wasn't something that came up in the tail. But Grey will ask Curtis at some point.

For the moment, though, he kisses Rat, because he can and because he wants to and be it feels good.

He welcomes the kiss, leaning forward into it with a comfortable smile. At some point, this became his normal and he's not sure he can find a single real reason to fight it.

[silenttrainbaby]

Perhaps it was a kind of normal for Grey, snuck in in quiet moments, stolen in the dark.

But kissing Rat is also different: full of light and life, no fervency, no pushing and pulling and hissing. Grey's dirty fingers brush Rat's cheek as he lingers there, his eyes still nearly shut when the kiss breaks.

Rat doesn't mind a little dirt, is used to it more than he is being clean in some ways. He smiles and raises a hand to cup Grey's cheek.

The adrenaline from the running, from feeling so alive in that way has Grey leaning Rat back against the sofa, deepening the kiss, his rough hands slipping up under Rat's shirt to touch warm skin.

[plaguedrat]

The urgency of it makes warmth rise to his skin, his book forgotten. Happily, he pulls Grey over him.

Shirts come off, then, tossed away as Grey straddles Rat's legs. He brushes his knuckles along Rat's chest, and he watches as he touches and teases, looking for sensitive places.

[plaguedrat]

Rat smiles, tries to play it stoic to tease him a little. There are places, scars mostly, where he does feel very little. And there are other places that make him glad for years of acting.

[silenttrainbaby]

No fair! Grey wouldn't know how to act if his life depended on it. Rat already knows that everything Grey feels shows on his face. So, Rat's seeming lack of response baffles him; he cocks his head, looking, as he closes fingers around taut nipples. This feels good ... doesn't it?

[plaguedrat]

That one provokes a gasp from him, breaking him out of acting. Straining forward, he pulls Grey up for another kiss.
