The piece of paper - the waiver - fluttered from Grey's hand as he pushed his way into Rat's rooms. He looks for the other boy, finds him and comes over. His clothes are dirty, pieces of gravel still sticking to them, something still in his hair. His hands are dirty, but his cheeks are flushed and he kneels before where Rat reads, pressing his cheek to Rat's hand.

He welcomes the kiss, leaning forward into it with a comfortable smile. At some point, this became his normal and he's not sure he can find a single real reason to fight it.

Perhaps it was a kind of normal for Grey, snuck in in quiet moments, stolen in the dark.

But kissing Rat is also different: full of light and life, no fervency, no pushing and pulling and hissing. Grey's dirty fingers brush Rat's cheek as he lingers there, his eyes still nearly shut when the kiss breaks.

Rat doesn't mind a little dirt, is used to it more than he is being clean in some ways. He smiles and raises a hand to cup Grey's cheek.

The adrenaline from the running, from feeling so alive in that way has Grey leaning Rat back against the sofa, deepening the kiss, his rough hands slipping up under Rat's shirt to touch warm skin.

The urgency of it makes warmth rise to his skin, his book forgotten. Happily, he pulls Grey over him.

Shirts come off, then, tossed away as Grey straddles Rat's legs. He brushes his knuckles along Rat's chest, and he watches as he touches and teases, looking for sensitive places.

Rat smiles, tries to play it stoic to tease him a little. There are places, scars mostly, where he does feel very little. And there are other places that make him glad for years of acting.

No fair! Grey wouldn't know how to act if his life depended on it. Rat already knows that everything Grey feels shows on his face. So, Rat's seeming lack of response baffles him; he cocks his head, looking, as he closes fingers around taut nipples. This feels good ... doesn't it?

That one provokes a gasp from him, breaking him out of acting. Straining forward, he pulls Grey up for another kiss.

Finally! Rat can taste Grey's grin as he still tries to tease and pinch even as they kiss, even as he feels his arousal rub against his pants.

Rat pulls Grey closer, enjoying the warmth. It's strange but he swears he can taste happiness on him.

"Something good happened today?"

A nod, even as Grey continues the kiss. He ran and jumped and flew again. That made him lean back, peer into Rat's face, thumb toward the door. Did he want to see? Did he want to go?

Rat smirks a little, runs his hands up Grey's sides. "Show me later," he says, leaning up to kiss his jaw.

Oh. Grey cants his chin to get Rat have more access, to feel the tingles go right down his chest. Later, yes.

Sometimes it feels too decadent, here in his clean apartment, luxuriating in each other and taking all the time they want. Rat finds that he cares less and less about such things.

It should be a warning, but he doesn't care, too caught up in the way Grey moves against him.

It is decadent: like Red Velvet cake, but without the stomach ache. Grey lets his fingers wander down this time, toward Rat's crotch.

Shamelessly, Rat grins, a hand flicking down to open his jeans up for Grey.

He has to shuffle back a little, but Grey reaches in, then, knuckles brushing against the hardness he finds there. It makes him shiver and he scoots lower, kneeling then, between Rat's legs and leaning down. He flicks a look up at Rat - a silent request for permission.

He nods, reaching out to touch Grey's hair and encourage him on. There's a spark in Grey that Rat's not sure he's encountered before but it puts extra life into his eyes and the energy flows into him too.

Today has been good, he guesses.

Today has been good - of all the things Grey doesn't know here, he finally found something he did know. And he knows this - the act anyway. And he likes it. He like pleasing. He wants to please Rat. He pushes the material aside enough to pull out Rat's erection and hold it, kissing the tip before he starts to suckle.

If Grey spoke, Rat would say it's not just about the pleasing. That it's something that makes them both feel.

But words suddenly become a far more difficult concept when Grey does that.

Grey finds he likes the taste - Rat's specific taste. He starts moving his hand and mouth in tandem, licking along the length of Rat's erection.

This makes him feel wanted. Needed.

Regardless of what he does, Grey is wanted in Rat's life. The way they've come to understand one another, filling in the words for themselves. It means something.

So does this. Rat lets his eyes close, canting is hips forward a little.

This is nurturing, really. It's taking care. It's giving pleasure and when he can, Grey looks up at Rat, gauging how he's doing, how he feels. His mouth is watering from the tang; he likes it.

Not for the first time, Rat thinks he can't wait until that cast of Grey's comes off. The next week stretches out impossibly.

For now, this is enough, in a torturous way.
